Desiring a quick (like 1-minute) snack that will satisfy a slight sweet-tooth but with no added sugars? These cinnamon apple slices with coconut butter fit that bill!

No, that's NOT icing you see on those apples, it's coconut butter!

Coconut butter is a naturally sweet product made from coconut flesh and one of my favorite things to eat when I'm trying to tame the sugar-dragons.

It's a bit hard to eat by itself (doesn't keep me from trying though!), but drizzled on some apples like this? Heaven.

Ingredients Needed

It's just 3 ingredients, and suitable for the Paleo Diet, AIP Diet, and Whole30.

• an apple

• cinnamon

• coconut butter

How to make this quick 1-minute snack

A snack (or dessert) like this doesn't get much easier.

You simply slice an apple, sprinkle it with some cinnamon, and then drizzle it with some melted coconut butter. Easy peasy.

Thanks so much. I live in SouthAfrica and there are numerous items we just can’t get… Eg Coconut aminos, Cocnut cream, various flours and now none of our health stores can get carob… The carob and avo mousse was my absolute stand by for quick treat when rest of household having ice cream and choc! So Thankyou so much for your amazing recipes and advice. Much appreciated…

Hi! I know you posted this a while ago but I am also in SA/ Namibia and have found all of these ingredients and flours at faithful to nature. If they’re not in stock in a store near you you can ship it to your house. Hope this helps!

Michelle, can you elaborate on coconut butter, what is it, what form does it come in and where to buy it? I am familiar with coconut milk, beverage, cream, but not coconut butter.

Sure – it’s pretty much just a paste made from blending shredded coconut. It melts into a thin liquid and then hardens up again if left in cooler temps. You can make your own (there are plenty of recipes online and it’s easy to do) or you can purchase it in stores and online – and it’s usually in the solid form in jars. Sometimes it goes by the name of coconut manna.
