Paleo Gifts

A Paleo baked good wrapped in a pretty package

This one below is the Almond Flour Pumpkin & Chocolate Chip Loaf from the Urban Poser

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #1 Paleo Baked Good

Homemade Beauty Products

Homemade beauty products, like bath scrubs, lip balm, and body creams can be such a thoughtful, well-received gift. To make this easy, learn how to make these with recipes, step-by-step instructions and coordinating labels in my Homemade Gifts book or go to this post to make a simple peppermint sugar scrub.

Homemade gift ideas and recipes

Chocolate or Carob Covered Apples

See this Paleo Chocolate Covered Apples post for a short video tutorial and recipe on how to make these pretty and sophisticated giftables. (On the AIP Diet? Try these AIP Carob Covered Apples)

Blue Blocker Glasses

Is your gift recipient one of the millions who suffer from insomnia? Blocking blue light at night wearing these glasses while using electronics is a simple fix that can help prevent the melatonin-reducing effects of nighttime light exposure (see this article by Chris Kesser). While not the most glamorous accessory you can wear, it is probably one of the most effective. I wear mine EVERY night while on the computer, iPad, or watching TV.

Paleo Cookies (Or AIP Cookies)

I am partial for either Against All Grain's Real Deal Chocolate Chip Cookies or Flame to Fork's AIP Chewy “Chocolate” Chunk Cookies which are pictured below – delicious whether you are on the AIP diet (Autoimmune Paleo) or not

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #6 Paleo Cookies

Dirty Mouth Toothpowder

Contrary to popular belief, you do NOT need a sugar and chemical-filled toothpaste to keep your chompers sparkling and healthy. Tooth powders don't prevent the remineralization of your teeth like traditional toothpastes do and many quite prefer the clean mouthfeel of the powders to traditional toothpaste.

Eating Evolved Chocolates

I have one word to say about Eating Evolved Chocolates. YUM. This gift set is $39 and will make a chocolate lover very happy!

Homemade Grain-free Granola

For Paleo, the Pumpkin Pie Flavor Granola by The Spunky Coconut is excellent. Wrap it up in a pretty bag, box, or jar and I'm sure anyone who eats would be thankful.

If for someone on the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP diet), this “Chocolate” Tigernut AIP Granola is amazing.

Paleo Hot Chocolate (in a Mug)

Another homemade and inexpensive gift, fill a pretty mug with a pre-made Paleo hot chocolate mix that your recipient can easily mix with their milk of choice for a tasty warm beverage. See the recipe and get free printable gift tags in my Paleo Hot Chocolate post

A book about the Paleo diet and lifestyle

Maybe you have a gift recipient who is either already Paleo or looking for a way to make their lifestyle healthier.  Mark Sisson's The Primal Connection is a fantastic book with so many ways to slow down, enjoy life, make real connections with others, and to find real happiness. This book was integral in my healing from Adrenal Fatigue and learning to unwind.

Whipped Honey Almond Butter

Just do it. Seriously. This stuff is GOLD. Eat it by the spoonful or put on some Paleo pancakes.

Candied Nuts

Another edible gift, these take maybe 10 minutes to make? I love this recipe by This West Coast Mommy for Spicy Maple Cinnamon Pecans

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #12 Candied Nuts

Nikki's Coconut Butter

What can I say about Nikki's Coconut Butter? It was love at first spoonful and I've never looked back. This is my go-to snack/dessert and the Vanilla Cake Batter flavor is even AIP / Autoimmune Paleo-friendly.

Instant Paleo Soups

Perfect for those friends of yours that are ALWAYS cold, these instant soups by Wild Zora are a great afternoon snack pick-me-up. They're Paleo and some flavors are AIP as well. These are my afternoon “beverage” of choice these cold days!

Paleo App

My fave one that still is available is NomNom PaleoI believe it is only available on Apple through)

Paleo Cookbook

For either a Paleo beginner or a seasoned Paleo enthusiast, a shortage of amazing Paleo cookbooks there is not.  I wrote a post about my favorite Paleo Cookbooks if you need some ideas, and here's one about my favorite AIP cookbooks as well!

All-natural Deodorant

Not the most orthodox gift, but for someone who is trying to fly straight with the all-natural lifestyle, this one is a thoughtful one. Primal Pit Paste is my favorite “store-bought” one, or you can make your own homemade deodorant very inexpensively (see how in this post and DIY how-to video)

Homemade Vanilla Extract

Vanilla extract is probably one of the easiest food items to make and it makes the perfect gift for anyone who bakes – whether they are Paleo or not. If they are sensitive to gluten make sure you get a gluten-free vodka. The recipe is this: Put 10-15 Vanilla Bean Pods into one bottle of vodka. Let sit in a dark place for 3-6 months, shaking every so often. If you want to give this as a gift now in smaller amounts, just put a few vanilla beans into each jar and portion out the vodka accordingly. (I buy vanilla beans in bulk online to make this process a lot cheaper.)

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #17 Homemade Vanilla Extract

A Sampler of Chomps Snack Sticks

Chomps are one of my (and my family's) favorite snacks. They're 100% grass-fed and taste better than the major snack stick brands. Plus they don't have all the nasty ingredients like MSG or synthetic preservatives that those other bars have. Yet another great gift for recipients that are always on-the-go. They've got some sampler packs that would make a great gift.

Online Cooking Class

If you've never heard of Blu Print (formerly Craftsy), it is an online class platform that has classes in everything from sewing to photography, jewerly making to cake baking, and cooking classes. Buy a membership for a friend to spark their creativity or to help them learn how to correctly cook chicken. I've been watching Craftsy classes for several years and have learned SO much from them.

Paleo Magazine Subscription

I love this magazine. Beautiful pictures, informative articles, community. It was one of the first things I came across on my Paleo journey and it was definitely one of the reasons I decided to go down this path.

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #22 Paleo Magazine

Paleo On The Go Gift Card

Paleo On the Go SAVED me when I was on the strict part of the AIP diet (Paleo Autoimmune Protocol). Their premade AIP Frozen Meals (now they also have Paleo and Whole30-compliant ones too) are delicious and can be stored in your freezer for those emergencies like when you and your family were out at the zoo too late and they grabbed some food you can't eat on the way home and you are so hungry you want to die but alas! A POTG meal is waiting for you to quickly heat up and eat. LIFESAVER.

This is one your recipient will definitely love you forever for!

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #23 Paleo On the Go gift card

Paleo Treats

These little Paleo desserts are delicious and quite beautiful. They're great to store in the freezer and take out when you have to go to a party. I think these would sure to delight your recipients with a sweet tooth! See the various packages available from Paleo Treats here.

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #24 Paleo Treats

Primal Life Organics Gift Cert or Product

I LOVE these beauty products from Primal Life Organics. Ingredients you can pronounce and they WORK. Clean beauty at its finest (and actual real clean beauty, not one that says it is and really isn't). (The Coffee Bean Elixir smells HEAVENLY)

 Freakin Good Spices

The dynamic duo behind the blog Primal Palate released their own line of spices this year and they sure are good! Fresh, flavorful, amazing. Their adobo spice is to die for. I highly recommend the Signature Blends pack at only $24.95, especially if you are giving to someone who loves to cook. Check them out here or on Amazon.

52 Paleo Holiday Gifts

This is one handy kitchen tool. Make “pasta” noodles out of zucchini and sweet potatoes with this (amongst a whole host of other things). Zoodles? This is what most people use to make those.

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #27 Spiralizer

Squatty Potty

Ok, so maybe this one is more a gift for yourself. But trust me on this one, it's so worth it. Once you go with a squatty potty you won't want to go any other way.

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #28 Squatty Potty

Immersion Blender

This is my favorite kitchen tool. Easily make soups, smoothies, mashed cauliflower, and pretty much any other blended item without having to clean your big blender.

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #29 Immersion Blender

Tea Assortment Gift Set

Many people living the Paleo lifestyle drink tea. It's a very warming and relaxing alternative to coffee, and something that can be enjoyed in the afternoon without messing your adrenal hormones nor disrupting sleep. Pique Tea makes cold brew, instant tea that is delicious and tastes so much more flavorful than tea bags (at least in my opinion)

Learning a new instrument is SO good for the brain. It helps build new and forge existing the neural pathways that help us retain our memory and ability to learn as we grow older.

It also can be a great source of stress relief, which is very important on a Paleo lifestyle.

If you have someone in your life who likes to challenge themselves and their brain, a ukulele could be a great – and fairly inexpensive – gift!

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #31 An Instrument like a Ukulele, Guitar, or Keyboard

Ukulele Lessons (or other instrument lessons)

Getting formal lessons can be time-consuming, especially for someone who is probably busy already. However, something like this online class membership by Ukulele Underground is fantastic for learning both the basics and advanced techniques of the instrument – on someone's OWN schedule.

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #32 Ukulele Lessons (or other instrument lessons)

23 and Me Ancestry Kit

For the inquisitive type, these kits are a way to figure out your generalized ancestry plus your susceptibility to some diseases.

Simply spit in a tube, they extract some DNA and send you back a report telling you where your long-ago ancestors came from.

I have to say it's quite a trip, I found out I was like 1% Mongolian, which I NEVER expected.

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #34 23andMe Ancestry Kit

Acupuncture Session

Acupuncture is an ancient art that is both relaxing and therapeutic. I've personally used it to prevent allergies, help induce labor (2 times!), ease acute back pain, reduce the time of colds and flus, get more energy, balance out an abnormal menstrual cycle, and get amazing relaxation. If you are in Boulder, CO, I love Maren Cahill of Well Woman Acupuncture.

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #35 Acupuncture Session

Cutting Board

A cutting board is a great gift for the home cook. I don't think one can have too many of these.

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #38 Cutting Board

A Massage Session

Seriously, relaxation at its best.

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #39 Massage

Fermentation Crock

For your fermenting gift recipient, this vessel allows you to make a huge batch of sauerkraut, kimchi or whatever you want to ferment.

Instant Pot

The Instant Pot really lives up to all the hype. It's a pretty amazing appliance that helps you cook SUPER flavorful food in so much less time. The newest model is the Instant Pot Ultra.

If your recipient has kids, or IS a kid, the Kids Cook Real Food Ecourse is a fabulous gift idea.

Katie Kimball from Kitchen Stewardship teaches this incredible course on how to teach kids to cook.

It's paced suitably for kids anywhere from 2-18 and teaches them the fundamentals to really be confident in the kitchen. My kids and I went through it and absolutely loved it.

Fitbit or Apple Watch

If your recipient needs a bit of a proverbial “kick in the butt” to get moving, these activity trackers are great. Keeping you accountable for the number of steps you take each day and gently reminding you when you've been still for too long, they seem to be able to keep you in line even when you want to slack off. Sometimes something this simple is all you need to remind you to get up and get moving. I have an Apple watch that I LOOOOVE and I know many who love their Fitbits so I don't think you can go wrong.

Thrive Market Membership

Thrive Market is one of the biggest gamechangers to the Paleo and gluten-free shopping experience. You can seriously get pantry staples here at a much cheaper price than anywhere else. Plus they also give back to low-income families, so it makes you feel good too! Give the gift of membership (which is only $59.95, and then buy your recipient a gift card so they can get some goodies!)

Sunrise Simulating Alarm Clock

This might look like a weird device and not an alarm clock, but it is AWESOME. The light slowly comes on about 20 minutes prior to the alarm time and simulates the sunrise, so you gently wake up. We got one of these early this fall and when the mornings stayed dark I noticed I didn't have the same issues waking up that I have had in the past. It really makes me feel like the sun is rising.

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #45 Philips Sunrise Simulating Alarm Clock

Sous Vide Machine

A definite “nice-to-have” in the kitchen, this gentle cooking machine is beloved by many top chefs and by Paleo's own Michelle Tam (NomNom Paleo). There is a new crop of affordable versions that have come out recently, making this now attainable for the home cook. This is tops on my wish list this year (hint hint dear Santa).

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #46 Sous Vide Machine

Chef's Knife

A chef's knife is an essential kitchen tool, and a nice one is a wonderful gift idea for any home cook. A good size for someone who doesn't have one at all is probably the 8″  version, and a bit more advanced (and my favorite) is the 10″.

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #47 A Chef's Knife

Continuous Kombucha Brewer

If your recipient makes their own kombucha, simplify their lives drastically with a continuous brewer. Once you get it up and running (which is a simple process), you simply have to brew up a gallon or so of tea each week to add to the brewer as you drink your kombucha. That is IT. Drink as much as you want from the tap, and just replace as you go. No need to wait for anything to brew, no need to clean anything (except once or twice a year), and bottle and flavor as you want.

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #48 Continuous Kombucha Brewer

Le Creuset Dutch Oven

Awesome for cooking soups and stews or for braising a hearty cut of meat, dutch ovens are wonderful additions to any kitchen. They may be pricey, but it's an item your recipient will keep for decades.

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #49 Le Creuset Dutch Oven

There seems to be a bit of a competition between Vitamix and Blendtec lovers, and from what I hear, they are both amazing. We have had a Vitamix for about 12 years now and I love mine. I think either way you can't go wrong.

52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #51 Vitamix
52 Paleo Holiday Gift Ideas by Thriving On Paleo - #51 Blendtec

Steve's Paleo Goods

Steve's Paleo Goods is one of those companies that gives back to underprivileged youth, so not only do you get delicious product, but you feel good that you are helping others. They have some starter bundles that would make wonderful gifts, full of an assortment of their grain-free granola and pastured beef jerky.

What are other Paleo holiday gift ideas that you have? If you yourself have a gift idea post, feel free to post it in the comments so others can check your ideas out as well!
