Thriving Autoimmune

Root Cause Progression Map

Check every statement that's true for you right now. See what might be missing from your healing picture.

1
Create the foundation for healing
Restore gut health, calm inflammation, build capacity to heal
I have changed my diet to a healing, anti-inflammatory format so I can identify food triggers, heal intestinal permeability, and restore a vibrant gut microbiome.
I have identified the areas where I use food as a coping mechanism for stress and emotion and have steps in place to use healthier coping mechanisms when this comes up.
I am aware of where stored stress and tension live in my body — the unconscious physical patterns my nervous system has created — and I have tools to begin releasing them.
I have identified the learned patterns — perfectionism, people-pleasing, chronic over-giving — that are keeping my nervous system dysregulated, and I'm actively working to rewire them.
I know what kind of movement supports my healing right now and what depletes it, and I'm moving my body in a way that helps rather than hurts my immune system.
2
Rewire and rebuild
Reprogram the patterns keeping you in cycles of flares and fatigue
I have identified and begun reducing the environmental triggers in my home — cleaning products, personal care, water quality — that are quietly adding to my immune load.
I understand what has been disrupting my sleep — cortisol timing, blood sugar swings, circadian rhythm — and I have a consistent sleep practice that is actually working.
I have begun shifting from the identity of someone who is sick to someone who is healing — and I understand how my thoughts and beliefs are physically affecting my immune system.
I understand the patterns underneath why I keep starting and stopping, and I have something other than willpower keeping me consistent when life gets hard.
3
Sustain and thrive
Let go of fear of backsliding — feel confident and resilient for good
I know what triggers a flare for me specifically, I have a plan for when one happens, and I no longer spiral into fear or give up when things get hard.
Hashimoto's is something I have — it is not who I am. I make daily decisions from the identity of someone who is healthy and healing, not someone who is sick.
I have a long-term plan that accounts for seasonal changes, life getting busy, and the hard moments — so I'm not starting over every time something throws me off.
